Founder & Managing Partner

Ray Hu, Founder & Managing Partner of Blue Lake Capital, has 15 years of experience in venture capital investing. Ray’s keen discernment in industry trends and business models has driven his current focus on enterprise services and software, intelligent manufacturing and frontier technology. Ray has been recognized by the Forbes China’s Top Venture Capitalists in 2019 and “The Most Popular Investors Among Entrepreneurs”in 36Kr for many years. Ray is responsible for the successful investments in many of the most advanced companies in the market, including Meicai, Momenta, YHDA, Moka, Zhenyun Technology and Cloud Helios.

Prior to founding Blue Lake Capital, Ray worked at GGV Capital, where he played a substantial role in building a portfolio including 21Vianet (Nasdaq: VNET), Qunar.com (Nasdaq: QUNR), MediaV [acquired by Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) and Leo Group (SZ: 002131)], Grab, and Meilishuo.com. Before entering into venture capital investing, he worked at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Ray holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics from Fudan University and an MBA Degree from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University.
